It is election season in the Basement. As always all elections in the basement are winner takes all. The hot new face seeking to shake things up in the Basement is that of Garry. Though a relatively new member of the basement Garry has the distinct qualifications of being a fish and being disliked by Shoomimi. The jarred of the Attic have resounding endorsed Garry. They have similar agendas of being submerged and staring out of glass containers. When asked for comment they responded "Glub glub glub". This inflammatory statement was received quite divisively by those of the Basement. Whether or not Garry can make the shoominions of the Basement care about such things is gonna play out at the ballot box.
The Basement Urban Trade Tribunal (BUTT) has endorsed Shmimi. They said such a choice was obvious. They said there was really no question at hand and that such a decision to back Shmimi was simply common sense.
Those who have staked out into the frontier of the living areas have embraced Anarchy. They demand an end to any governance.
The Marble Coalition only demands one thing. They will back whoever gives them that one thing.
Those of the Yard are without vote because they don't deserve to. They can stay outside, they know what they did.
It is unclear if Shoomimi the current leader of the Basement will be running for reelection. Shoomimi could not be reached for comment because we at The Daily Basement did not ask.
